"It's okay to be wrong!"

I had the pleasure of living with Moriah for a year, in which I got to know her well. She has a remarkable amount of energy, which she often channels into athletic activity. A member of the ultimate frisbee team at Rutgers, she became known for her fast running speed. It felt only natural for me to musically represent her athletic abilities.

This portrait is unique to the set, in that it has a story. I’ve simulated a fragment of a game of ultimate frisbee. The work is full of fast passages, some abrupt and others extended, representing Moriah running. The glissandi are probably self-explanatory! The “crash” at the end is a rather tasteless addition which only she and I would understand.
