Lighthouse is a short, jaunty movement, portraying the view of the Atlantic Highlands from the top of the Twin Lights Lighthouse. All six miles of Sandy Hook Beach can be seen, as well as the sun glistening on the water, the gentle water ripples, the hilly terrain of the Atlantic Highlands, and, on a clear day, even New York City. Some of my earliest memories are visiting this lighthouse with my mother and grandparents. I imagine this movement taking place on a warm, clear, breezy spring morning.
