Reflection takes place in historic Cape May. Native Americans dwelled here for centuries. In the 1600s, New Yorkers came down here to whale. Ever since, the city has become one of the most popular vacation destinations in the northeast. The coastline here has been receding for centuries; the whalers' shacks have long disappeared into the sea. Many Victorian mansions still stand, mostly converted into bed and breakfasts. The city is rumored to be haunted by many who lived and vacationed here. This movement takes place on the beach during the late afternoon of a chilly fall day.
