Whims and Daydreams is a portrait of my friend Jason Allen. Jason is a public school choral conductor and pianist. In lieu of program notes, I decided to reproduce a poem that he wrote in 2016. I believe it tells all.

The cantaloupe seed never saw light, yet it still grew.

Harambe knew nothing of the outer world.

HE IS WHO I AM EXISTING THROUGH SPACE

Do re mi fa so la ti death

Android is better said ponokio [sic], his nose fell off
