Your Oasis in Space was commissioned by the Boulder Altitude Directive for performance in Spring 2021.

 

Even after its completion, I still have no idea what Your Oasis in Space is about. Admittedly, I got the title from a poster in my living room. I consider the piece to be a sort of miracle. Despite me agonizing over every measure and despite the unhappy year it was composed in, Your Oasis in Space is a remarkably happy piece. It's fast, full of surprises, and generally has a big presence.
